I started in the travel industry for fun in 1999 and was soon hooked. I enjoy planning all types of travel, especially Family Travel, and have destination certifications in Mexico, Hawaii, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica.
I believe travel should be like a snowflake - no two trips should ever be the same. This does not mean you must only limit yourself to new places, but that you should have new experiences to awaken your senses and connect you to the environment and culture in which you are surrounded. I want you to have the trip that satisfies both your desires and expectations while giving you a sense of place.
Bucket list destinations: The Galápagos, the Arctic Circle and Antarctica, crossing the Panama Canal, and cruising the Nile
Favorite travel memory: My favorite solo travel memory would be an extreme off-road Jeep lesson and then driving into the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains. With my family - all 8 of us – it was an evening at our resort in the Riviera Maya spent sitting around a fire pit on the patio laughing, telling stories, reminiscing, listing to my children dream about their futures, and hearing the waves lap against the shore with the distant sound of music playing in the background.
When I travel, I like to: I always unpack first thing. I have to feel like wherever I am visiting is home while I am there. I love wandering, getting lost, or as I call it “going off map,” and finding things I never expected in a destination.
Favorite destination: Ireland!
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain
